Workshop FAIR Research Data Management: A Basics Series for Chemists

Good Research Data Management (RDM) is essential to ensure that your research data is FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). In this course we will guide you through the basics of RDM and apply them to a chemical context.

NFDI4Chem is organising this online workshop for all interested chemists, PhD students and above. The workshop will be held in English. A confirmation of attendance can be issued on completion of all four modules. If you have any questions, please contact our helpdesk at helpdesk@nfdi4chem.de

23.06.2025 (9 am – 12 pm): Basics of research data management, legal framework, funder requirements, data management plan

24.06.2025 (9 am – 12 pm): Documentation and metadata

25.06.2025 (9 am – 12 pm): Electronic laboratory notebooks: General introduction and live demonstration (eLabFTW, Chemotion ELN)

26.06.2025 (9 am – 12 pm): Data preservation (storage, back-up and archiving), data publication
