The Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is looking for a Computer Scientist (f/m/d).
We are looking for a research software engineer to support research and development in the NFDI4Chem framework. You will be responsible for software development as well as the integration of infrastructures such as bwDataArchive, LSDF and databases at the SCC. In addition, your tasks will include customizing and designing appropriate interfaces as well as networking and integrating subject-specific repositories and electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) in a productive data center operation.
You have a university degree (Master) in computer science, engineering or a similar field. You also have very good programming skills (Python, Ruby, PHP) and several years of experience in software development. Furthermore, you have extensive experience in operation and administration of IT services as well as thorough knowledge of Linux. Experience with storage systems, tape storage systems and research data management would be beneficial. Finally, you are able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in German and English.
