Leading RDM in Chemistry: Essentials for PIs

Dezember 3 , 10:00 12:00 CET

About the Workshop

Research data management (RDM) is an essential part of good research practice and increasingly important for successful research projects, funding applications, collaboration, and data publication. Join our workshop “Leading RDM in Chemistry: Essentials for PIs” to explore the key principles of RDM and learn how they can be translated into everyday research practice.

This compact workshop is designed specifically for principal investigators (PIs), such as professors, group leaders, project leads, and senior researchers, in chemical research and shows how PIs can support good data practices within their research groups.

The workshop focuses on practical orientation rather than technical detail. Participants will gain a structured understanding of central RDM concepts and learn how to identify relevant responsibilities, workflows, and support needs in their own research environment.

Workshop Format

The workshop combines short input sessions, practical examples from chemistry, discussion, and reflection on implementation in participants’ own research groups. The aim is to provide a concise and actionable introduction that enables PIs to act as multipliers for good RDM practices in their teams.

The workshop will be conducted in English. No prior knowledge on RDM is required.
