Chemotion&LabImotion ELN Hands-on Workshop (Two-day Event) Würzburg

August 5 , 9:00 August 6 , 16:00 CEST

On the first day of our workshop, we introduce the electronic laboratory notebook Chemotion and its features for beginners following a “learning by doing”- concept. Members of our Chemotion team will explain the various features of the ELN in several learning units. The units are accompanied by specific exercises in which you will create and edit ELN entries interactively. During the exercises, questions and arising problems can be discussed with the Chemotion trainers directly. You do not need to have Chemotion installed as we will provide access to training instances.

LabIMotion is a software that has been developed as a generic extension of the established Chemotion ELN software. It systematically extends the Chemotion ELN software in terms of functions and available modules. The extension allows the ELN software to be used either with or without chemistry functionality. The most important change brought about by the implementation of LabIMotion ELN is the possibility for users to design their own new user interfaces and templates for their workflows, which can be adapted to the needs of the scientists without any expert programming knowledge. The modules can be linked to each other, allowing a clear assignment of materials and samples to processes and workflows.

On the second day, we will introduce you to LabIMotion and its features in a learning by doing approach. Members of our Chemotion team will explain the various features of LabIMotion and guide you through specific exercises in which you will interactively create and edit ELN entries. During the exercises, questions and problems can be discussed directly with the Chemotion trainers. You do not need to have Chemotion installed as we will provide you with access to a training instance. Don’t miss your chance and register now for the next hands-on workshop!

Please note, that the LabIMotion-workshop requires a knowledge of the basic functions of Chemotion and is not suitable to Chemotion beginners. The Workshop is being held in English.

NFDI4Chem organizes this workshop for the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg for all interested Chemists, for PhD students and above, especially for all members of the CRC1762 – Boron as property-determining element (BORONPro).
