In February 2024 RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau joined NFDI4Chem and became an official participating institution. The Department of Chemistry at the RPTU is currently implementing a coherent strategy to implement FAIR data management both in research and undergraduate teaching. Therefore, the Department of Chemistry, represented by Prof. Maria Wächtler, JProf. Johann-Nikolaus Seibert and Prof. Georg Manolikakes, will contribute to Task Areas 4 and 5.
Research data management is one of the most important prerequisites of scientific activity and part of good scientific practice. The RPTU is successfully supporting the development, implementation, and application of research data management across all disciplines and departments. The RPTU is a member of the NFDI consortia NFDI-DataPlant, NFDI-FAIRmat, NFDI-MatWerk, and NFDI-MarDI as well as the basic service project IAM4NFDI. Additional support for all researchers is provided by the Central Office for Research, the University Library (UB) and Regional University Computing Center Kaiserslautern-Landau (RHRZ).
